Intro is amazing; I love the detuned analogue synth strings and the weird relaxing atmosphere. That's not to say the rest of the song isn't great too, though. It fits the atmosphere at the beginning, but has lots of energy. Good use of an arpeggiated major 7 chord at the end. Amazing song!

You guys and your FM. I love all the pounding beats and basses, massive chords, and huge bass drops. This song is just overall such high quality.

The beat is pretty crunchy, but I think it would be a better quality crunch if you lowered the treble by quite a bit. The hi hat and cymbal samples that you use seem to be really resonant, and they sort of overpower the rest of the drums and synths. Not jazz, but still all right...

Good song; nice quality synths and drum samples with a good melody. Just a little confused about why it's tagged as jazz...

OcularNebula responds:

thanks, man

yeah, the song is miscellaneous, but I thought it had some elements vaguely evocative of "jazz", e.g. sax, piano, one or two extended chords, melodies with grace notes, lol

but I know it's not, strictly speaking, jazz

So relaxing. I really like the contrast between the major chord and the minor 5 chord at 0:33, and the major 1 to major 2 at 0:45. Great instrumentation as well.

I really like how the 5/4 feel works with the chord progression. Also, everybody pretty much kept perfect time throughout the song. Nice solos, too.

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed!

Very catchy chord sequences and good instrumentation throughout the song. I really like how the high, ambient bell works with the chords from pretty much 2:45 until the end. Great work.

Xanatdul responds:

I'm glad you like it. For some reason most of my songs contain some type of bell... :D

The saxes were really together and solid, and the recording quality is really nice. The drums get a little off at points, but only for a few beats at 0:16 and 2:57. It was sort of hard to hear the piano and bass, so I think the saxes could play a little quieter during the head. Other than a few minor things, this was a really nice song.

1:31 and on is really nice, especially the bass at 1:52.
It could use a stronger beat, though.
I really like the fact that the bass doesn't repeat much during to song.

Fantishow responds:

Thanks!

Pretty cool

I like dubstep, but in this song, the lack of a loud wobbly bass really brings out the simplicity of the beat. I really like that you chose good chords. Nice loop.
